市野 龍起《大鷹》
大きく輝く満月を背に、大鷹が力強く羽搏いている。
極彩色に彩られたその姿は威厳に満ち、見る者を圧倒する。青やオレンジの色彩が鮮烈な印象を与える一方、随所に配された緑が画面全体に奥行きを与え、色彩効果をさらに際立たせている。おそらく影の表現を意識しているのだろうが、黒ではなく緑を用いる点に、この作品ならではの独自性が見て取れる。

また、雲に目を向ければ、羽根が舞うかのような表現が施され、軽やかな雲の質感と大鷹のモチーフが見事に調和している。岩絵具の鮮やかな発色が存分に発揮された、格調高く構成された一作である。

Adorned in vibrant colors, the bird exudes dignity and strength. Brilliant hues of blue and orange captivate the eye, while touches of green enhance the overall effect, adding depth and vitality. Rather than relying on darkness to convey shadow, the artist uniquely employs green, a distinctive feature of this work.

Turning to the clouds, one notices forms that resemble scattered feathers, a device that harmonizes beautifully with the hawk as the central motif. The luminous pigments of mineral paint are displayed to their fullest, resulting in a composition both striking and majestic.
